Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of Moroccan midfielder Aachraf Hakimi from Inter Milan on a five-year contract. The 22-year-old is expected to make his debut for PSG in their upcoming match against Lille on Sunday.
Hakimi has been one of the most promising young players in European football over the past few years, and he was tipped to become a key player for Inter after joining them from Valencia in 2018. However, his form dipped last season as he struggled to find his best form under manager Luciano Spalletti, and he was eventually shipped out on loan to Bologna before returning to Inter this summer.
Despite his injury troubles at Inter, Hakimi showed flashes of brilliance during his time with Bologna,Campeonato Brasileiro Action and he was praised by many for his technical ability and vision on the pitch. He also had a successful stint with the Morocco national team, where he helped them reach the World Cup semi-finals in 2021.
